Prayer the master key
James Dillet Freeman, author of this fine book has with permission from unity school of Christianity put together this outstanding work. The exceedingly great subject of prayer is broken down to the T, bringing a newly alive happiness and exalted feeling to the reader; teaching the power and purpose of prayer.
The introduction sets its self in the midst of a mystery, with a discerning poetic stance, search for meaning and transformation is presented by quote
“ How can a inchworm comprehend a continent?
The humbling influence of the writer expresses from the out set a deep devotion to study the matters within his grasp and not concern with others to great for him.
but let the inchworm measure the mystery of a leaf or two, and it may turn into a butterfly and master even the mystery of air.
As i read the above qoute from the book i remeber the word and i quote from the King James Bible A Song of degrees of David.
LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
Leaving the starting point of this book the reader experiences a enlightenment of the origins of belief, the responsibility of ancient governments to invent this all wise law giver {god} who had given society rules of order, in fact these priest kings had made up the story that they had the laws from god to make there laws seem more lawful. This point of the book is examining the religion in our time and the origin of our modern beliefs. The belief in God comes not from man’s cunning thoughts, but God exists in spite of them. So man did not invent God; God invented man -man invented story’s about god to induce there followers to be good. This book brings a deeper understanding to the reader by bringer them closer to good reasoning of prayer and why the belief in God is all men’s unconscious expression of their deepest feelings about the world.
This book asks questions and raises really valid points about prayer this is a really refreshing read.
